TomKat Line Fish: Beyond Brussels

Posted in Industry News

LollaProducer: Monday 25 June, Carriageworks, Sydney.

60 producers in one room on one day. Innovative and artisan food producers from Australia and its near neighbours had the opportunity to showcase their produce to an invited 2,000 chefs, restauranteurs and buyers for the food industry. TomKat was incredibly honoured and privileged to participate in this future of food event.

Although it was somewhat daunting to display our product in the same arena as well-known brands such as Glacier 51, Huon Salmon and Spencer Gulf Hiramasa Kingfish, our fresh fish display and samplings of Baked Red Emperor and Sous Vide Saddletail Snapper received a lot of commendations and compliments from many of the chefs and other producers and buyers present.

Queensland contributors included Austral’s Skull Island Tiger Prawns and Pacific Reef North Queensland Cobia and we can be proud that Queensland Catch is turning heads in such an elite field.

Many thanks to Peter Horvat and the FRDC for providing us with another amazing opportunity and experience. Once again, we have taken away a lot of food for thought about future directions for TomKat Line Fish.
