Onboard Seafood Handling

Onboard Seafood Handling

The Seafood Post Harvest Vessel Training Project, developed by Queensland Seafood Industry Association (QSIA) in partnership with Intuitive Food Solutions, addresses the lack of structured training for food safety and handling within the wild catch seafood sector. The project focuses on creating practical, accessible training resources that equip skippers and crew with the knowledge and skills needed to handle seafood confidently whilst complying with food safety requirements.

This training aims to ensure the quality of seafood products remains high and reduce waste, re-enforcing the reputation of the wild catch sector.

By leveraging remote technology, the training is designed to be accessible to all wild catch sector professionals, ensuring that businesses can deliver premium-quality products and achieve greater customer and employee satisfaction.

Once created, the training will be available at NO COST to Queensland residents.
