David joined QSIA in late 2022. He brings to the Association over 30 years business experience across multiple industries and countries. He has a wealth of experience in dealing with all stakeholders.
After 16 years of ownership, David sold his family business (wholesale and retail meats) in early 2022. This business was highly regarded in the industry winning many awards.
David has been associated with commercial fishing all of his life. His father held multiple licenses as too does his brother, Allan (the current Chair of QSIA).
David has a Bachelor of Business and a Graduate Diploma of Corporate Management. He is a retired member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
David is based in Brisbane
Allan has been a QSIA board member for some time.
A second generation fisher, Allan is based in Cardwell. He is a net and line fisher.

Based in Mackay, he has multiple investments in the industry including license, quota and a large wholesale business - Mackay Reef Fish Supplies.
David also has a presence in the Northern Territory fishing industry and is a past director of the Northern Territory Seafood Industry Council.

Luke is a mud crabber in Moreton Bay. He has also worked on prawn trawlers.

Mark has significant experience across multiple fishing methods. Based in Mackay, Mark and his wife, Debbie, own Debbies Seafood.

Jacky is prawn trawler owner based in Mooloolaba. Owner of Silver Sea Seafoods, managing all aspects of marketing, product development, local & international trade. Jacky is a member of QSIA, QSMA, Seafood Industry Australia (SIA) and Women In Seafood Australia. Jacky is on both the QSIA Trawl Committee and FQ’s East Coast Otter Trawl working group.
Additionally Jacky is a Policy Officer for Seafood Industry Australia – Vessel Safety, dealing specifically in AMSA Regulations and advocacy, she heads up the newly introduced National Safety and Wellbeing Committee, within this role she attends both the Regional Safety Committee’s and National Safety Committee’s and has completed the National Seafood Industry Leadership Program.

Karen is the owner of Malanda Seafood with boats in Reef Line & Gulf Net fisheries. She has completed the National Seafood Industry Leadership Program, is a member of Women in Seafood Australasia, QSIA, SIA, QSMA & GOCCFA and is on numerous committees such as Futures of Seafood Qld Jurisdiction, SIA's Wildcatch Advisory Committee, SeaSafe National Safety & Well-being Committee and GBRMPA's LMAC for Cairns Region.

Ryan is based in the Redlands. He is a mud and blue swimmer crab fisherman with several years experience.

Neil has substantial experience in Western Australian Fisheries and recently expanded his operations into Queensland - concentrating in the Spanner Crab Fishery. He was one of the first fishermen to export live Western Rock Lobster and deep sea crabs. He is a past director of the Geraldton Fishermen’s Co-op (during the early 1990’s) .
